LSFest 2021 Photos: Here Is Our Last LSFest Gallery From Bowling Green. See Every Photo Right Here!

LSFest 2021 Photos: Here Is Our Last LSFest Gallery From Bowling Green. See Every Photo Right Here!

(Photos by Wes Allison) This is it, our last photo gallery from LSFest 2021. It’s our final batch of photos from the show, where every single car is a potentially awesome LS Swap or customization. Since LSFest is the celebration of the LS engine, and anything you might want to put it in, it stands to reason that we would have a photo gallery that is nothing but ls swapped rides from the show at LSFest 2021. There are no shortage of killer installs at LSFest, in all kinds of rides you wouldn’t necessarily expect them in, along with all kinds of rides you would. But each one has something different so we decided we’d share some of the ones we spotted.

Holley’s LSFest is the biggest and baddest LS Party on the planet and we love being a part of it all. With covered grandstands, epic history, and killer staff, this is one place you just have to put on the list of places to visit. We dig it and cant’ wait to get back there again! Check out all the photos, and if you missed any of our previous galleries use the link below to check them all out.

Holley’s LSFest shows celebrate all that is LS engine related, along with their newer LT siblings, and that means not only all the late model cars and trucks that came with them from the factory but also every single swap you can imagine. And trust me, people imagine some pretty amazing things. Hell, there is a Dodge Daytona or Plymouth Superbird winged car here that is on a modern NASCAR chassis with an LS engine in it. No, seriously! It’s sitting in front of the QA1 booth looking all badass. It’s weird, and it’s cool, and it has an LS in it, which is all that matters.

Like I said, we’ll be bringing you all kinds of galleries from the event and they will include Drag Racing, Drifting, Autocross, Burnout Contest, Power Wheels Racing, and so much more. This is an event like none other and we can’t begin to tell you just how much we love it. This is the kind of event you want to be a part of. Check out the photos, and plan to be here next year!

Pro And Sportsman Drag Racing Photos From The NHRA Sonoma Nationals, Records Falling And Wheels Up Action!

Pro And Sportsman Drag Racing Photos From The NHRA Sonoma Nationals, Records Falling And Wheels Up Action!

(Photos by Eric Myers) Thanks to our pal Eric Myers, we’ve got cool photos from the NHRA Sonoma Nationals in California to share with you. This iconic California dragstrip and motorsports facility has a history that is as storied as any you will find and it’s a truly different and special facility. With the ocean so close and sea level conditions or better the norm, this is one fast dragstrip and records have fallen here for decades. It’s also located in the Napa Valley, known for spectacular views, wineries, restaurants, and drives. This is a location unlike any other the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series will see each year.

It also happens to be part of the famed Western Swing, a part of the season where racers run at all west coast tracks one right after the other, with everyone hoping for a “sweep” of the swing.

Thanks to Eric Myers who is on site checking out the action, shooting photos, and enjoying the great conditions, because without him we’d have no event photos to share with all of you. We’ll have Wes Allison on hand in Pomona for that part of the Western Swing as well, so rest assured you’ll have lots of NHRA Drag Racing photos coverage.

Here is our first gallery of Eric’s photos, stay tuned for more!

Photo Blast: More Epic Fords From The 2021 Carlisle Ford Nationals

Photo Blast: More Epic Fords From The 2021 Carlisle Ford Nationals

(Photos by Joe Grippo) –  We have to give big ups to our man Joe Grippo for sending us loads of great images from his personal field of dreams known as the 2021 Carlisle Ford Nationals. The event was sprawling, it was fun, it was packed with stuff to see, and it was in so many ways a great return to “normal” (for the most part). He pounded the ground with his camera and the result is that you have been able to see more of this show at BangShift than anywhere else. We may have nearly come to the end of his photo contributions but we love the fact that it’s just barely summer and huge shows like this are rocking all over the nation.

The spread of stuff to see here is great. From original GT40 race cars to a host of 1970s Mustangs, Mustang II examples, and Pintos, there’s a niche profiled for every Ford lover.

We’re done yapping, here’s the good stuff!

Omaha Autorama Car Show Photos Continue Right Here!

Omaha Autorama Car Show Photos Continue Right Here!

We told you we were going to share all of Scott’s photos from the Omaha Autorama, and here they are! If you missed any of our previous galleries, click the link below!

(Words and Photos by Scott Liggett) On the one year anniversary of Covid shutting down everything to “flatten the curve” we hit up the Omaha Autorama to get back into the reopening of car show season here in Nebraska. If you remember, we were at this show last year when everything was going crazy with the Covid virus running rampant. The governor of Nebraska called to have this show shut down the day we were there. It was a surreal experience last year and we were not able to go to another car show until October.

It’s a year later, Covid is getting under control. People are itching to get out and live again. The people who love classic and custom cars are no different. This year’s turn out was definitely proof of that. So, we donned our masks, grabbed our camera and headed down to CHI Heath Center in downtown Omaha, Nebraska to check out a bunch of beautiful automobiles.

This particular auto show has a lot of meaning to your author as this was the World of Wheels Omaha Autorama was the first custom car show I ever went to way back as a budding gearhead in the 1970’s. And, I continued to go to this show until the late 1980’s when my family moved to California. The Omaha Autorama officially kicks off the car show season in Nebraska, and we are hoping to go to a lot more this year. And, we will share those experiences with you here.

Here’s Our Last Blast Of Photos From The Ribs And Rods Car Show In Texas

Here’s Our Last Blast Of Photos From The Ribs And Rods Car Show In Texas

This is it, our last gallery of photos from this awesome show.  Each and every photo gallery we’ve posted so far is full of cars and trucks from the show, and each gallery is completely different. You won’t find 10 angles of the same car. We saw nearly 700 hot rods, customs, trucks, and muscle cars and snapped a photo or two of just about every one of them. Hell, there were even a couple of minitrucks! Yes, I was excited, don’t judge me.

This event is normally a car show and BBQ competition, but because of COVID restrictions the BBQ portion of the show was cancelled. The lot that normally houses all the BBQ competitors is big and we can’t wait to get back there next year to see them all competing and to try some grub. As far as car shows go, this is one of the nicest locations that we’ve been to since moving here to Texas and are super glad that Wickam told us to come. We’ve got lots of photos to share, but if you miss any of them, then click the link below to see them all!

Southeast Gassers Last Blast: More Great Drag Racing Photos From Mooresville Dagway!

Southeast Gassers Last Blast: More Great Drag Racing Photos From Mooresville Dagway!

(Photos by David Whealon) – This is our last and finally installment of killer David Whealon action photos featuring the Southeast Gassers at Mooresville Dragway in North Carolina. The event drew and awesome crowd of spectators and a mondo crowd of gassers with dozens and dozens of the period correct screamers taking to the track. We love how the tracks are always decorated with the starting line pennants and other small touches to really give that retro-look that people love to see and be around.

You’ll see wheelies, burnouts, and more in this collection of photos. It should be mentioned that the Southeast Gassers have been one of the only traveling series moving around and running with fans in the stands at this point in 2020. That’s starting to change around the sport, but these guys and girls have been doing it a while.

You gotta love drag racers!

Hit the images of the Southeast Gassers competing below and scroll to see them all!

Gallery: An Awesome Collection Of 1980s Period Pro Street Photos From The Street Machine Nationals!

Gallery: An Awesome Collection Of 1980s Period Pro Street Photos From The Street Machine Nationals!

(Photos by BS Forum Member DragBike425) – One of the biggest stories for the upcoming Spring and Summer car show season is the return of the Car Craft Street Machine Nationals to Du Quoin. This show was the place to see and be seen in the Pro Street obsessed world of the 1980s. Sure, most of these cars couldn’t idle around a fairground without going into Chernobyl melt down but damn they were cool! We’ve heard countless stories of vintage Pro Street cars being dug up, sought out, or freshened up to get back to this iconic show. Amazingly, BangShift forum member DragBike425 recently started posting bits and pieces of his huge photo collection from the Street Machine Nationals back in the 1980s! All of the icons are here or will be here in several of the follow up galleries we’re going to run. In this collection you’ll see Rod Saboury, Scott Sullivan, Dobbertin, Hayes, and on and on and on. All of those names that dominated the magazine pages in the 1980s and had guys like me lusting after some huge tired, over blowered pile of awesome to own the world with. These were truly the cars that I went to sleep dreaming about and Chad did too.

Chad’s Note: HOLY CRAP THIS IS AWESOME!!!! I can’t stand it. Screw racing my Nova, this thing needs to be about 6 inches lower and have way more power adders. I’m in love. PRO STREET RULES. This is the closest thing to porn we’ve ever put on the site. I’m going to need a moment alone.

This first collection is about 60 photos. DragBike tells us that he has 400-500 to post! We’ll be back with regular installments!
